PhD

Doctoral School of the Ecole Polytechnique. Title: "The Berk-Breizman Model as a Paradigm for Energetic Particle-driven Alfvén Eigenmodes". Co-thesis agreement between Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA, Tokyo, Japan) and Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique (CEA, Cadarache, France). PhD obtained with the highest honors.

Master

Ecole Polytechnique, Paris XII, Paris VI. Specialty: plasma physics. Graduated at the first position with a "very good" mention.

2003-2006
Engineering's master

Ecole Polytechnique, Palaiseau, France. France's leading university-level scientific institution.

2000-2003
Post-secondary preparatory school

Lycée Gustave Eiffel; Armentières. Specializing in Physics, Maths, Mechanics and Chemistry.

June 2000
Scientific "Baccalauréat"

(Equivalent of high-school diploma) Prepared in the Lycée Gustave Eiffel; Armentières. Obtained with honours.

Hobbies
Music
Playing piano on a daily basis, trying to learn improvisation. I sometimes play some guitar and violin to bother my neighbours.
Game
I am fond of I-GO (囲碁) which is a Japanese board game. My current level is 5k on the KGS Go server.
Theatre
I practiced improvisational theatre. I was the president of the Polytechnique Improvisational Theatre Club in 2003-2005 (Organisation of weekly lessons for the 40 members ; creation, production and performance of a dozen shows per year). I was also member of the "On-Off" Improvisational Theatre Compagnie in 2006-2007 (Weekly representations in a small theatre in Paris).
Japan
I have a passion for Japanese culture. I have been the treasurer of the Student's Franco-Japanese Forum (FFJE) in 2003-2005 (Organisation of an exchange between French and Japanese students).
Kanji
As you may have guessed from this website design, I am fond of Japanese characters, both for their graphical harmony and shear efficiency. I currently know 2000 of them.
Sports
I like martial arts, practiced Aikido, and attained a good level in Judo. I swim and run for health's sake.
Reading
English litterature.
